A little about myself- I'm anEagle Scout and a disabled veteran from USMC (R) reserves. I’ve been fishing my entire life and found all things fly fishing to be very therapeutic. I’ve been Program Lead for Battle Creek for 2 years and a participant for 4years.
I’m a proud husband to my wife, Ashley, and father to Oliver whose 15 months. I find helping Veterans who are in a bad spot helps me in my recovery. We are a work in progress.
I have a deep love and respect for everything outdoors.
I love to fish and tie flies in my free time. I don’t claim to be a guide nor am I a spokesman for PHWFF, but I am a geek when it comes to fly fishing, like a kid on Christmas for gear or a kid a toy store when it comes to fly shops. And if I can spread the word to a troubling Veteran, and get their mind on to something else- I’ll shop them the world of Fly Fishing.
Through the Fly Fishing community, which was very welcoming, I found that the trout and migratory fish were in- and are always in a bad spot. The restocking of Salmon and Steelhead in the Great Lakes, fish hatchery on the Au Sable, and now Line 5 in Lake Michigan. These and other issues need to have attention brought to them.
I’d like to promote sponsorships for the 2nd Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Battle Creek, Michigan Program and it’s “Holy Waters” Fishing Tournament located in Grayling, Michigan & hosted by Gates Au Sable Lodge. The tournament is an “Ambassador” Trip for the participants of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing. We are looking for sponsors & donations. For more information please contact Adam Beam (Program Lead Battle Creek, Mi) Adam.firstname.lastname@example.org or Rich Lobianco (Mid West Regional Coordinator) @ Richard.Lobianco@projecthealingwaters.org or email@example.com.
